Another four weeks in between. Which is, the whole of September (a destructive month).

TWLA

Constant delays of delivery updates, week after week. Such a distaser, though lots of work has been produced and discussed, iterated, and at last took off. There was a presentation-preview this week and we did a good stretch for it. Some things might have stabilised by now, so that the rest can at last be finished.

dae.wiki

Some content updates on the live website. The integration of img-proxy into the current WIP, most up-to-date branch (always thanks to wolkenmachine).

Been on the look out for new people to join and work alongside me (replacing me), had a good call this week with someone who could be a good fit; if not, they offered to share the call over with the people from the Recurse Center, which is amazing.

If this works out, the project can probably really be finished by end of this year.

An emergency call happened just this week: while debugging it, we realised part of the automatic output of the website has not been really working for months. This created problems as the website was part of many exhibitions and it works with monetary transactions... We'll discussed next week. All should be fixable post-mortem, as the core data should have been received in any case.

We met but worked each on our own deadlines. I proposed to come up with a ritual, especially when we don't manage to be in the same room during that week. In part inspired by DPS own rituals practice. In part due to my realisation of "enjoying just because" to meet at the studio once a week (or more), even when busy with client work. This breaks away my freelance alienation effect. Well, I'll come up with one or more rituals soon, to do maybe by using the wiki system.

three pages every morning

Ten days ago I began doing this exercise of "filling up three pages with whatever you have, every morning, first thing first". I did it for three days straight, and then yesterday. It began after a strong psycho-somatic reaction, and I felt I had to be able to vomit things out also in this way, first of all.

I used to keep lots of diaries 12-15 years ago for a good 4-5 years. Then I stopped, and tried to at least force myself to write down one, two lines on my phone. It worked for a few years and then nothing.

I would like to reach a point where I can do this consistently every morning to start the day off, now it's not there yet. I am not stressing my brain too much about it, as when I need it I do it — which is much better than already a month ago.

rush

Last Sunday I had a perfectly encapsulated idea of how to misused git log UI to keep track of my reading list, which lives at reading-list.txt. No details, but yesterday and today I sketched out this CLI python program and it's already quite useful for its main purpose: automatise with writing down associated title and description of a URL I want to read later on.

It's missing a few more features only, and I feel great to at last being able to do something and managed to do it and knowing I'll be able to finish it. Clear idea, straightforward execution, and playing with my own curiosities.

September, the always unmissable disaster of a month that kills you in a surprising moment (while you knew it could have happened, but the sun is strong).
